A Bell And A Pomegranate
We know that the Torah was given to Moses at Mt. Sinai in the year 2448 on the Hebrew calendar, generations after the death of Abraham. Yet Abraham knew the Torah - how can this be reconciled? The assertion is unequivocal, as it says in the Bible:
"Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." Gen 26:5
The Hebrew word translated as "my laws" is literally "My Torahs" (ותורתי). The gematria provides comprehensive evidence of the veracity of this verse. The story begins with Terah, the father of Abraham. Terah was born in the year 1878 on the Hebrew calendar, which corresponded with the year 1883 BCE.
This difference of five is the key, because as part of God's covenant with Abraham, the names of Abram (אברם) and his wife Sarai (שרי) were changed to Abraham (אברהם) and Sarah (שרה). These changes resulted in the fifth Hebrew letter (hey) being introduced into both names, significant as God's own name Yahweh (יהוה) contains two heys (one for each). Being the fifth letter, hey has a gematria value of five. The gematria of the name changes can be summarized thus:
So although the gematria of each individual name changed by five, the total gematria of the couple remained the same. Curiously, by adding the gematria values of Sarai and Sarah, we get 1015, which is the gematria value of the Hebrew word מהשתרע (Isa 28:20) meaning "to extend", but which has a transliteration of "sara", and is pronounced "sar-ah" (Strong's H8311).
The mysterious number 153 is now introduced into the Abrahamic equation. Recall from the 5778 triangle that the section representing water consists of 13 x 153 triangles, for a total of 1989. This is also the gematria value of the Bible verse relating to the death of Abraham:
"Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people." Gen 25:8

The fourth Hebrew word in the Bible, spelled aleph tav (את) is not translated, and consists of the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet (the beginning and the end). In kabbalah, this teaches that God not only exists in all physical space (the heaven and the earth) but also all of time.
As we have seen, the beginning and the end of Abraham's life were in the years 1948 and 2123 on the Hebrew calendar:
In the Book of Exodus, we read that there are bells and pomegranates sewn to the hem of the High Priest's garment. In this verse, the second last word is the untranslated aleph tav:
"A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses." Exo 39:26

The beginning and the end is also referenced in the Book of Revelation, where the Greek Alpha and Omega is the equivalent of the Hebrew Aleph Tav:
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is and which was and which is to come the Almighty." Rev 1:8
The term Alpha and Omega when spelled spelled άλφα Ω, as it is in the Greek New Testament Third Edition (Corrected) has an isopsephia value of 1332.
Jewish tradition teaches that there are 613 commandments in the Torah. Of these, 248 (the gematria of Abraham) are positive commandments (do this…). Another tradition is that a pomegranate has a corresponding 613 seeds. The gemaria confirms the conceptual truth behind this tradition:

The first and last verses in the first chapter of the Book of Genesis reveal the following:
There are two verses in the Bible that have this gematria (isopsephia) value, and both relate to resurrection. The first of these is the account of the raising of Lazarus (who had been dead four days).
"And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth." John 11:43
και ταυτα ειπων φωνηι μεγαληι εκραυγασε λαζαρε δευρο εξω

Note that the isopsephia value of "Lazarus" (λαζαρε) is 144, reminiscent of "the hundred and forty and four thousand which were redeemed from the earth" (Rev 14:3).
The second verse with an isopsephia value of 5766 is in the Book of Hebrews, in which the Akedah (binding of Isaac) is seen as synonymous with the raising of the dead:
"Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure." Heb 11:19

The NRSV translation probably makes this verse easier to understand:
"He (Abraham) considered the fact that God is able even to raise someone from the dead - and figuratively speaking, he did receive him back." NSRV translation *parentheses mine
This writing (generally thought to be by Paul) draws on Rabbinic lore for a connection between resurrection and the Akedah.
Rabbi Jehudah said : When the blade touched his neck, the soul of Isaac fled and departed, but when he heard His voice from between the two Cherubim saying (to Abraham), "Lay not thine hand upon the lad" (Gen. xxii. 12), his soul returned to his body, and (Abraham) set him free, and Isaac stood upon his feet. And Isaac knew that in this manner the dead in the future will be quickened. He opened (his mouth), and said : "Blessed art thou, O Lord, who quickeneth the dead." Pirke de Rav Eliezer 31
